The method is as simple as blending the frozen bananas with your other ingredients for a couple of minutes until it’s smooth.

Once you’ve got the right consistency in your blender, simply pour the cookie dough-flavoured mix into a bowl, and top with your favourite toppings.

On this occasion, the experts at Tropeaka topped their bowl with chopped-up bananas, a drizzle of nut butter, cacao nibs and extra nuts.

Hundreds who saw the recipe said it looked delicious and they couldn’t wait to try it at home with their own flavour variations.

‘Yum, this looks incredible,’ one person posted.

‘Omg how good,’ another added.

The health experts aren’t the only fans of smoothie bowls, with model mother Rachael Finch revealing she regularly turns to them as a breakfast choice, particularly in the summer.

Rachael said her favourite green smoothie bowl is made out of spinach, frozen banana, parsley, vanilla protein, nut butter and filtered water.

She also often adds cucumber to the recipe.

Another alternative favourite of Rachael’s is a breakfast smoothie with avocado, almond milk, frozen banana, spinach, a scoop of Kissed Earth Replenish Protein in vanilla or chocolate and nut butter.
