‘Thank you all for praying for us. Thank you all for hoping best for us and for wishing us good health and stay safe,’ he added with a series of hashtags, including one for ‘recovering.’

The couple are currently living in India while the country has been experiencing a public health crisis due to a second wave of positive cases.

The hit reality series has followed Jenny and Sumit’s complicated journey to finding love since the first season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way in 2019.

The duo first connected online before Jenny eventually relocated from her Palm Springs, California, home to India to be with him.

The couple appeared on a second season of the show as it documented their numerous obstacles, such as their 29-year age difference.

It also covered his parents’ disapproval of their relationship because of her inability to bear children.

The two ultimately called off their engagement during the season two finale, but are still happily living together.

It is unclear how Jenny has maintained her visa status, but Jenny’s daughter Christina recently called Sumit ‘pops’ in an Instagram comment, spurring speculations from fans that they may have tied the knot away from reality cameras.

At this point, coronavirus is just another bump in the road of the lovebirds’ unusual love story.

Jenny spoke about how Covid restrictions like India’s lockdown affected her wedding plans last year.

‘We swore that nothing was going to stop us this time. And now bam! Everything’s been put on hold,’ she said on the show.

‘The uncertainty bothers me, of course, because my visa is going to expire and I can’t leave the country, so the only thing I can do is just keep hoping that they’re gonna keep extending my visa,’ she added.

Confirmed new cases in India hit a new global record of more than 379,000.  However, the official numbers are widely believed to be far below the reality.

The news comes as Priyanka Chopra, 38, partnered with donation platform @GiveIndia to set up a fundraiser #TogetherForIndia and issued an emotional appeal for help on her Instagram.

‘I’m sitting in London and hearing from my friends and family in India about how hospitals are at capacity, there are no rooms in ICUs, ambulances are too busy, oxygen supply is less,’ she shared in the clip.

‘India is my home and India is bleeding. And we, as a global community, need to care,’ she went on. ‘And I’ll tell you why we need to care: Because unless everyone is safe, no one is safe.’

‘People are dying in record numbers. There is illness everywhere, and it’s only continuing to spread and kill at great speed and scale,’ Priyanka wrote in the caption accompanying her video message.
